“Health is an issue that affects us all,” says Dr David, Mentor and visionary for the new Australian Wildlife Health Centre.
"The most amazing thing about the work of veterinarians is that we have the ability to care for other living things, and in our case, to improve the health of wildlife that need our help. That’s a powerful ability, but it can also swing the other way, in that human beings are so often the cause of the problems facing wildlife or the environment.
In this amazing new veterinary centre, we are able to offer solutions for wildlife health problems that may have occurred because of land clearing, urbanisation, motor vehicle accidents, disease or injury caused by introduced species, predators, bushfire, flood or any other environmental catastrophe.
“If we all remember that each and every one of us can have a positive influence on the environment by changing the way we do things, even in the smallest way, such as recycling paper, then our shared world will be a better place for all living things.”
