RACV and Zoos Victoria's partnership is based on a common interest and commitment to driver education and safety and how that can help promote protection of wildlife.
As a partner of the Australian Wildlife Health Centre, RACV has launched a new service, Wildlife Connect that assists motorists in the event they come into contact with injured wildlife on Victorian country roads. As part of the service, RACV is educating motorists on how to avoid collisions with animals and the steps they should take to optimise passenger safety in such situations.
Speaking at the launch of the Australian Wildlife Health Centre in December 2005, RACV Chairman and President, Mr Clive Hall said: "RACV is delighted to be involved with this exciting new centre and the unique educational experiences it will bring to young and old. We look forward to working with Zoos Victoria to provide a vital service to Victorian motorists."
